The Silver Hills Motel was the first motel in Tasmanian (1953) to serve the growing mining and tourist industry and is perfectly located to explore the Western Wilderness, or as a base for business in the area.  Featuring 57 rooms, parking for coaches and cars, also with a large restaurant and the best views in Queenstown.

Queenstown is a great location with easy access to Strahan, Cradle Mountain, Derwent Bridge and Lake St Clair and everything in between.  The motel is conveniently located on the Lyell Highway, with a short walk to the CBD, including the West Coast Wilderness Railway office, post office and the two supermarkets in the main street.

All rooms have an en-suite bathroom, each containing a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, microwave, flat screen TV, heating, and access to free Wi-Fi.

Our welcoming restaurant is a great place to unwind with a drink sitting on chesterfield couches beside the historic open fire.  Our restaurant onsite offers a modern contemporary Australian menu with great daily specials.  The bar is well stocked with Tasmanian products, most notably our Gin collection and old classics.
